Ceridian engineers suggest placing a host in Maintenance Mode (MM) should be easier or customer-initiated.

On November 24, 2021, Ceridian experienced a VDI outage where hosts were experiencing DRS errors. The DRS errors were observed by Ceridian but not initially by support. Ceridian asked for the host to be placed into MM and was delayed. Engineering eventually put the host into MM, resulting in provisioning to begin once again.

Ceridian was aware that placing a host into MM could affect its environment but was accepting of the risk.

Ceridian suggests that placing a host into MM, at their suggestion, should be quicker and at their control.
